Personal storage FAQs 

What is the minimum storage rental period? 
The minimum contract is one month. We offer a monthly recurring contract that can be canceled at any time. This contract will run until the contract is canceled. 

Do I need to pay a deposit?
You don’t need to pay a deposit with Spacebox - you pay from the date you’ve booked your storage unit. 

Do I need insurance?
All storage units need insurance, but we provide this in our quotes. You can waive the insurance but you’ll need to sign a declaration. This means sole responsibility for all items stored is on you. 

How can I access my self-storage unit?
You can access your unit, seven days a week from 06:30 AM to 11 PM via contactless entry.

Do Spacebox supply storage and packaging materials?
Yes, we can provide boxes, wrap, and tape. If you need support in moving and storing your belongings, this is something we can help you with. We also have a range of heavy lifting and moving equipment such as forklifts, trolleys, and more on-site to help you. 

We can also help secure discounts on van hire to help you transport your items. 




How safe will my belongings and furniture be? 
Security is our highest priority at Spacebox, so you can rest assured that whatever you store with us, your items will be safe and secure. Each storage unit has individual alarms and is padlocked. We also offer contactless entry and 24/7 CCTV. 

Each unit is insulated, watertight, damp-proof, and clean, which means your items are protected from the elements. 

Is there anything I can’t store?
There are certain items you aren’t allowed to store with Spacebox. Please take a look at our list of prohibited items.
